The Loyola Early Learning Center (LELC) is a private, independent Jesuit preschool serving students primarily from low-income families. Operating costs are funded through the philanthropy of generous friends and supporters. LELC is not funded by the Archdiocese of Baltimore or federal, state, and local governments. This model allows our school the independence to create a curriculum and program that offers an invaluable educational opportunity to our students.

Giving Opportunities

Sponsor a Student: Sponsors fund scholarships to offset the cost of tuition.  Sponsors are invited to meet the family of the student their scholarship supports and are invited events throughout the year at LELC.

Gifts in Celebration or Remembrance: There are many ways to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and graduations! LELC offers donors the opportunity to make a gift that not only celebrates the recipient but has a positive impact on the children in our school.  We also offer gifts to remember those who passed away.

Create an Endowment:  Gifts to endowment provide a sustainable source of income for LELC.  Endowment funds can benefit a student's education or provide operating revenue for the academic program. Named funds can be created once a donor's endowment gifts reach $25,000.

To learn more, contact the LELC office at 443-563-2589.

Annual Fund/Operating Support: Gifts to the LELC Annual Fund provide critical resources for our students and programs, supporting the academic program, faculty professional development, and activities.

Gift of Securities: Gifts of appreciated securities held for longer than one year enable the donor to receive an income tax charitable deduction for the fair-market value while avoiding capital gains tax.  Gifts of securities can fund a student sponsorship, establish an endowment fund or help support LELC operations.

To make a gift of securities, contact Carly Neidecker at Brown Advisory at 410-895-4888.

Planned Gifts: Generous friends of LELC have remembered our school in their estate planning.  Bequests naming LELC as a beneficiary of your will, retirement plan, or life insurance can have an enormous impact on our small school and may provide substantial tax savings to your estate.

Matching Gifts: You can double your gift to LELC with a matching gift from your company! Check with your company to see if they match employee gifts to eligible nonprofits.
